Chou published an article in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology on “How Decisions Happen: Focal points and blind spots in interdependent decision making” with colleague Nir Halevy (Stanford Graduate School of Business). In four studies, they explored what available information decision-makers focus on and what information tends to go unnoticed. Using eye-tracking and game theory, they found that individuals tend to focus on opportunities for mutual cooperation rather than mutual or unilateral competition.
